What data we process
Contact form
When you fill out the contact form on this website, we process the information you provide: your name, email address, and the content of your message. This information is sent to us by email and is not separately stored in a database on the website. We use this information solely to respond to your question or message.
Comments on posts
If you leave a comment on a blog post, we ask for your name and email address (required). Your IP address and browser user agent are automatically stored, which helps us detect spam. We use the spam-filtering service Akismet (by Automattic) to automatically check comments for spam. This may involve sending data such as your IP address, email address, and comment content to Automattic’s servers, which may be located (partly) outside the European Economic Area. Cookies
For information about the cookies used on this website, please see our separate Cookie Policy. At this time, this website does not place any advertising or tracking cookies. Should this change in the future, for example by displaying ads, we will update both the Cookie Policy and this Privacy Statement accordingly.
Technical and security data
Like most websites, on-beperkt.nl (through its hosting environment and security software) keeps technical log data, such as IP address, time of visit, and pages requested. This data is used to secure the website and to resolve technical issues, and is not used to track or profile visitors.
Why we process this data
We process this data based on consent, for example when you voluntarily fill out the contact form or leave a comment, and based on legitimate interest, for securing the website and preventing spam and abuse.
How long we keep data
Contact form messages are kept no longer than necessary to answer your question. Comments (with name and email address) remain visible for as long as the corresponding blog post is online, unless you ask us to remove them. Technical log files are automatically deleted or overwritten after a limited period.
Sharing with third parties
We never sell your data to third parties. We use Akismet/Automattic as a spam filter for comments, and our hosting provider to keep the website running.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request access to the data we process about you, to have incorrect data corrected, to have your data deleted, to have the processing of your data restricted, to object to the processing of your data, and to receive your data in a portable format. You can contact us for this at info@on-beperkt.nl. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss or unlawful use.
Changes
We may update this privacy statement from time to time, for example when we add new functionality such as advertisements. The date of the last update can be found at the bottom of this page.
